Majestic Mile

The Walk for Heroes is a one-mile community walk that travels along Flying W Ranch Road and through the Majestic Neighborhood, a beautifully reconstructed community that has risen out of the devastation caused by the Waldo Canyon Fire in 2012.

The walk appeals to people of all ages and fitness levels and provides an opportunity to participate in a patriotic show of support  for our hometown  heroes and witness and celebrate the rebirthof the Mountain Shadows community.

Dress your dog in hero or patriotic dress and join us for a 1 mile walk with prizes for most patriotic costume.

Hometown Hero 5K

The Run for Heroes is a challenging 5k run that travels along Flying W Ranch Road in the Mountain Shadows neighborhood.

The run is designed to be a patriotic show of support for our hometown heroes in a community that risen out of the devastation caused by the Waldo Canyon Fire in 2012 and a fundraiser for our hero charities.

This run will be chip-timed. Course management

Kids' Run to the Ranch 2-Mile

FREE kids fun run to the ranch.

Kids' Patriotic Run ½-Mile

Fun run around Mountain Shadows Park.

Presented by Levens Family Dentistry with course management and chip timing provided by Pikes Peak Roadrunners club.

Champions Challenge 43-Mile

This route boasts more than 3,300 feet of elevation gain, hitting all the hills in the Garden of the Gods and making a double-sided attack on Blodgett Trailhead with a 2-mile time challenge from Allegheny to Blodgett on the return (see 2-mile challenge award).

Heroes Challenge 28-Mile

This 28-Mile Heroes Challenge Ride takes cyclists through some of the region’s most beautiful scenery travelling thru Garden of the Gods, along the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail and Monument Creek to Blodgett Peak. The ride is a true heroes challenge with more than 2,500 feet of elevation gain.

Patriots Ride 14-Mile

This 14-mile family-friendly ride takes place on paved trail along the Sinton and Pikes Peak Greenway Trails. The route is relatively flat.

Kids Patriotic Bicycle Parade

A free patriotic bike ride and decoration station sponsored by Kids on Bikes for kids 6 years old and under. Win a bike from the Ascent Cycling for the most patriotically decorated bicyclist.

Presented by Penrose St. Fancis Health Centers with course management provided by Colorado Springs Cycling Club. SAG, Bike Racks and Rest Stop support provided by Ascent Cycling, Criterium Bicycles, REI and Ted's Bicycles.
